Refund Policy
This policy describes how refunds work for products and programs purchased from Tax Practice Consulting, Inc. DBA Your Own Books (“Your Own Books,” “we,” “us”).
The book and the templates pack — 30 days, no questions asked
If the Your Own Books ebook or the Practice Starter Templates Pack isn’t what you hoped for, email us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the full amount. You do not need to explain why, fill in a form, or return anything — the files are yours to keep.
We mean this literally. If you have to argue for a refund, we have written this policy badly.
How to request a refund
Email hello@yourownbooks.com with the email address you used at purchase. That is all we need. We aim to process refunds within 3 business days, and the funds return to your original payment method.
Cohort and one-on-one coaching
These are scheduled, capacity-limited engagements, so they carry separate terms:
- Cohort: full refund any time before the first live session. Once the cohort begins, the enrollment is non-refundable, because your place was held and the seat cannot be resold mid-program.
- One-on-one coaching: billed monthly with a three-month minimum. You may cancel future months at any time with 14 days’ notice before the next billing date. Months already delivered are non-refundable.
These terms are restated in writing before you enroll. If they are not acceptable to you, do not enroll — ask us first.
Chargebacks
Please email us before contacting your bank. A refund takes one message and a few days; a chargeback takes months and costs us both. We have never refused a refund request within the 30-day window.
Exceptional circumstances
If your situation falls outside the above, write to us anyway. We review reasonable requests in good faith.
